Obadiah Sawyer, VP of Finance & Accounting
As we wrap up the delivery of K-1s and complete our year-end audits, it feels especially fitting to highlight the leader behind these essential efforts—Obadiah Sawyer, VP of Finance & Accounting at Sower.
Obadiah brings almost 20 years of diverse experience in finance and accounting. His background spans public accounting, corporate finance, auditing, taxation, and regulatory compliance—making him uniquely equipped to navigate the complexities of a multi-fund investment platform like ours.
At Sower, Obadiah oversees all finance and accounting operations, including treasury, financial reporting, tax return preparation, audit coordination, and corporate financing. He leads a high-performing team of professionals, including multiple CPAs, and plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of our financial systems across all verticals.
Prior to joining Sower, Obadiah held senior positions in both public and private sector finance roles, where he built a reputation for delivering strategic insights and ensuring financial discipline across dynamic organizations.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Iowa State University and a Master of Professional Accountancy from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Obadiah lives in Omaha, Nebraska, with his family. Outside of work, he enjoys family time and watching his Cyclones play.
